Board of Directors – Dr. William (Bill) Vantine

Dr. William (Bill) Vantine serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sabre Systems, LLC, where he works closely with the Board and CEO to guide the company’s strategic direction and long-term growth.

Dr. Vantine also serves on the boards of several privately held companies and organizations. Previously, he was President, Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors of Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA), a leading data analytics and strategic consulting firm. During his tenure, SPA’s stock value increased more than twentyfold, and the company was recognized as Government Contractor of the Year in 2022 and as a Washington Post Top Workplace every year from 2016 through 2022.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Vantine served as President and CEO of Los Alamos Technical Associates, President and COO of ARES Corporation, and held numerous leadership positions at NASA.

Dr. Vantine earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The George Washington University and a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. He has authored more than 20 professional publications on risk management, software engineering, data analytics, safety, and reliability.

His honors include the Department of Defense Private Sector Executive of the Year (2021), Government Contractor Executive of the Year (2019), two NASA Exceptional Service Medals, and NASA’s Silver Snoopy Award. He is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), a former Presidential Management Fellow, a Wolcott Senior Fellow, and a member of the Pi Alpha Alpha National Honor Society.
