Current Role

As Vice President of Business Development at Sabre Systems, Jon VandeMark leads the identification, capture, solutioning, strategizing, and proposal of core, growth, and emerging business opportunities in alignment with the company’s strategic growth plan. His role is pivotal in advancing Sabre’s mission by connecting customer needs with innovative solutions and driving sustainable business expansion.

Education

Jon holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. His academic credentials provide a strong foundation in both technical and business disciplines, supporting his ability to deliver complex solutions.

Career Experience

With over 25 years of experience in defense and federal markets, Jon specializes in business development, capture, and program management, with a concentration in systems integration. His expertise has contributed to the delivery of complex Digital Engineering and mission/weapon systems solutions. Jon’s technical background enables him to deeply understand the sophisticated solutions Sabre delivers. He is passionate about identifying customer challenges, understanding their missions, and delivering thoughtful, mission-focused solutions that advance operational success.
