Eligibility begins on the first of the month following one month after your first day of employment.
For Full-time Regular employees with less than 5 years service, eighty (80) hours of annual leave is earned for paid hours based on twenty-six pay periods per calendar year. For employees with 5 or more years of service, one hundred and twenty (120) hours of annual leave is earned for paid hours based on twenty-six pay periods per calendar year.
For Part-time Regular employees with less than 5 years service working thirty (30) to less than forty (<40) hours per week, sixty-four (64) hours of annual leave is earned for paid hours based on twenty-six pay periods per calendar year. For these employees with 5 or more years of service, ninety-six (96) hours of annual leave is earned for paid hours based on twenty-six pay periods per calendar year. For Part-time Regular employees working twenty (20) to less than thirty (<30) hours per week, forty (40) hours of annual leave is earned for paid hours based on twenty-six pay periods per calendar year.
Employees may maintain an annual leave balance twice the earned rate (e.g., an employee earning two weeks of annual leave per year will now be allowed to carry an unused balance of up to four weeks at any given time). Upon termination, any unused earned annual leave time will be reimbursed to you, net of any other outstanding debts.
You will be able to "cash in" annual leave at any time by charging available, earned leave time on the timesheet in addition to any time charged to direct or indirect projects. Overruns for annual leave will be deducted from an employee's annual leave the following year. If the employee terminates employment with ABC Corporation the hours overrun would be owed back to ABC Corporation plus any other hours not earned.
