Periodic floor checks by the DCAA and internal reviews will be performed
to ensure the
following guidelines are being followed:
- New employees will be fully indoctrinated on proper timekeeping practices.
- Employees must personally record their time on timesheets. Unless unusual
temporary
circumstances exist (e.g. sick with need to submit timesheet to be
paid) completion of
timesheets by supervisors or administrative staff is unacceptable.
- Project numbers will be provided by your supervisor.
- Employees must record their time on a daily basis.
Actual time rather than preestablished
estimates must be reflected.
- All hours actually worked should be recorded.
- Employees and supervisors must sign timesheets
certifying the accuracy of the recorded
labor effort.
- Corrections to timesheets must be made by drawing
a line through the incorrect entry and
replacing it with the correct entry. All corrections must be initialed
by both the employee
and supervisor. No erasure or "white-outs" are allowed.
- An employee found altering, falsifying or tampering
with timesheets, or recording time
on another employee's timesheet may be subject to disciplinary action
up to and including
termination.
