Sabre employees showed their support for active service members, injured veterans, and first responders by participating in the 2017 Philadelphia Honor Ride. Teammates met for the event on Saturday September 16, 2017 and rode alongside employees, veterans, and civilians alike. Sabre was also a proud sponsor of the Honor Ride again this year, adding to the importance of the ride. Congratulations to Team Sabre for raising over $2000 dollars and for their perseverance in pushing through the difficult course across Bucks County Pa., and demonstrated their drive to help our heroes.
The Ride to Recovery is a non-competitive cycling event that raises funds for Project Hero programs. Project Hero helps veterans and first responders affected by post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, and other debilitating injuries or illnesses receive rehabilitation, recovery, and resilience to rebuild.
Sabre employees were moved to be part of this event, and happy to help make a difference in the lives of veterans. Senior Executive Director Marketing Communications Margaret Margle said, “The course was tough, but Team Sabre managed to push through and finish to the end. We were all humbled by the opportunity to raise funds for our heroes, and we look forward to having more opportunities like the Honor Ride to contribute to the veteran community.”
